Hello !! I hope everyone had a great week-end. Here's another addition to the nursery : I gave a thrifted table a new look using turquoise chalkboard paint. Hello everyone, I'm baack !!!Coucou tout le monde, me revoilà !!! Well, actually we went back home last sunday, but I've been pretty busy this week, which explains the lack of messages on the blog (sorry !). Our vacation went GREAT !!! We had a wonderful sunny week in Guadeloupe (despite painful water retention issues - one of the joys of pregnancy ...). We got a lot of sleep, and enjoyed some fabulous carribean food. It's never too late ! I wanted to show you what I gave my Mum for Christmas this year : a footstool I'd found last autumn in a thrift store, for like 10€. But of course, after a little makeover ! A few months ago, I came across this lovely lamp in a thrift store (for like 2€) : Il y a quelques mois, je suis tombée sur ce pied de lampe à Emmaüs (pour 2€ je crois) : I had already spray-painted it in white, and I didn't find any particular use for it. Well, it was before the whole nursery project ...Je l'avais déjà repeint (avec de la peinture en spray) en blanc, mais je ne lui avais pas trouvé de place idéale dans la maison. After the ceramic elephant I've found 2 weeks ago, here's a peak at a great brass horse I've found in a yard sale on Sunday, and I think it'll look fun on a white shelf in the nursery (for only 13 $ !). Hello everyone !I hope you had a great week-end. For today, here's a simple, cheap yet lovely way to create unique framed art. I used some thick white paper, some wrapping paper and an Ikea frame (have I ever mentioned that I love those ?). On the final picture, you can see a ceramic elephant that I've found in Emmaüs (the French Goodwill) last week. I'll probably use it in the nursery (alone or with a plant). This morning I went to a yard sale and I've found some great stuff, including this random block puzzle for 50 cents. I figured I'd give it another (and more personal) look for the Baby's room.Ce matin, je suis allée à un vide-grenier, et j'ai trouvé quelques petites choses, notamment ce puzzle assez banal pour 50 cents. Je me suis dit que j'allais lui donner un autre look, avec une dimension plus personnelle pour aller dans la chambre du Bébé. Et bien, cette semaine est vraiment bourrée de surprises. Je devrais jouer au loto ... Après avoir trouvé un guéridon, un super bureau (et d'autres babioles dont je vous parlerai plus tard), j'ai trouvé aujourd'hui à Emmaüs 2 petits chevets années 50, assez petits pour aller de chaque côté de notre lit (et il n'y a pas beaucoup de marge ...). Je n'étais pas la seule à lorgner sur ces merveilles ... alors à 15€ les 2 (et oui, LES DEUX !), je n'ai pas hésité longtemps.Boy, I'm so lucky this week !!! I might win the lottery (if I bet)...
